Jaflong

Jaflong is a lovely tourist spot. It is about 60 km from Sylhet town. In 2001, I along with my few friends went to Jaflong for the first time and I did not enjoy that trip. Had a little journey by boat on river, labors were collecting stone, saw shit here and there and as usual hills of Sylhet. After one year I visited one of my relatives in Chittagong where I was asked by one of my relatives, who did not visit Sylhet that what are Sylhet’s attractive places. I was thinking, before delivering any speech my other relative, who visited Sylhet said “oh! Sylhet is a very beautiful place. There is a place, called Jaflong, if you visit there could enjoy hill, river, stone, sand and tea garden in one place”. I realized it is! Indeed Jaflong is a very beautiful place to observe. In Jaflong you can enjoy rolling stones collection, Dauki and Piain river’s blue water, orange and Jackfruit garden, Dauki bazaar, tea garden, tribal (mostly Khasia), Khasia Rajbari and so on. When one has a visit to Jaflong from Sylhet town can also have a glimpse of the waterfalls across the Meghalaya of India.
